Standard Policies

Satisfaction Guarantee

All Stock parts have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. Special ordered items are excluded from this guarantee.

Item Availability

Most orders for In-Stock items begin the order process as soon as your online purchase is completed. Items in stock will be shipped once the item is located in stock, your payment is approved, and the receiving address is verified. We do not process payment for Out of Stock and Backordered items.

Most orders placed prior to 1:00pm PST ship the same day. After your order leaves our facility, delivery times vary according to the shipping method you select during checkout and the location of your shipping address. Please note that business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.

Special Order Items

Special Order Drop Ship items require additional time before they can be shipped. These items ship once item is ready, your payment is approved, and the receiving address is verified.

Shipping

We use UPS exclusively here at The Treasure Island Jewelry Company. Through years of shipping products every different way we have determined that this is the best possible service that we can offer. It can mean higher shipping charges sometimes, but we feel that the pros out weigh the cons.


Overseas orders are shipped via UPS Expedited only, unless Saver is the only option. We have negotiated a 50% discount that we pass along to you to help ease the higher shipping fees associated with using this service. This does guarantee that the product will get to you, but it also means that they will collect the duties and taxes for the shipment. We have found that usually orders up to $100 on average cost the same as a $5 order, so please keep this in mind when placing your orders. If you would like to know shipping fees ahead of time please email us separately and we will notify you of shipping costs prior to shipping.

Shipping Methods and Costs

Depending on the item(s) you purchase and the location to which the items will be delivered, different shipping methods will be available. Each shipping method has its own restrictions and charges that will be applied to your order.

At checkout, you will be prompted to choose a shipping method for your item(s). (Please note, some items may offer only one shipping method.) Shipping costs are dependent on the items in your order and the shipping method you select. Your total shipping charges will automatically compute during checkout prior to the completion of your order.

Shipping costs for orders placed on this site are based on the weight of the total order. An order containing multiple items typically receives a volume-shipping discount and therefore your total shipping and handling cost may be lower than the sum of individual ship charges appearing in your cart. You will be provided with the total shipping cost for your order during Checkout. When ordering in bulk it is best to phone in your order. Large orders may require special handling or shipping calculations which may delay your order if we can not reach you to confirm the new shipping amount.

Generally, you will have the option of upgrading your shipping method for faster delivery (such as Third Day, or Overnight service). If you choose to upgrade your shipping method, your order must be received and clear credit authorization by 12:00 p.m. (noon) PST or your order may not be processed until the following business day. Tracking Your Order

When can you track your order?

Orders placed may be delivered by one of several different carriers and shipping methods. Therefore, tracking availability may vary depending on the type of item you purchased, the shipping method you selected during Checkout, and the carrier that is delivering your item(s).

Expedited Special orders typically are shipped from the factory and package tracking may not be available. In these instances, Your Order History on-line will not offer tracking information, but will still offer order status and other related details. Read the information provided below on this page to learn the difference between tracking information and the order status.

Finding Your Order Status

The status of your order is easy to find.

  • Check your e-mail. You were required to enter an e-mail address during Checkout; you will receive e-mails at your address keeping you up-to-date about the status of your order.
  • You may Log into our web site for Your Account 24 hours a day. You may view information about your most recent orders (including tracking information) as well as past orders (available after January 1, 2007)
  • Contact us. If you still have questions about your order, please contact us via e-mail or by phone.

How is order status different from tracking information?

The status of your order represents what is happening with your order between the time you place it and the time it ships from our facility. Once your order leaves, it is handled by a carrier (such as FedEx, USPS or UPS) that may provide tracking information until your order is delivered*. The tracking information is accessible by logging onto Your Account on our web site when the information becomes available.

*Tracking information may not be available for up to 48 hours after an item is shipped.

Wire Transfers are REQUIRED for all foreign orders over $150 U.S., unless you are a previous customer.

Important information about payment:

  • For your security, your billing name and address must match that of the credit card used for payment. We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not match these criteria.
  • Occasionally we audit our automated credit card processing system for errors which may result in your payment not being processed before your order was shipped. We retain and will exercise the right within the credit card merchant guidelines to obtain credit card charges up to 1 year from the date of purchase; provided we failed to do so earlier. If we can obtain funding then we will invoice the customer to provide funds for the item(s) which were shipped and received.

Sales Tax

Our facility is located in Washington. Consequently, Washington, by law, requires sales tax be charged to Washington State residents and orders shipped to Washington State addresses at the current sales tax rate set by the State of Washington.

E-mails About Your Order

Email addresses collected through order processing are only collected so that we may send you order confirmation information. TIJC does not use this information for marketing purposes. To receive information about our coupons, sales, and specials, please join our mailing list.

After you place your order, you will receive e-mails about your order. Below are examples of e-mails you might receive:

  • Order Confirmation E-mail confirms that we have received your order. It includes your order number. Keep this e-mail for your records. (This is not a guarantee of product availability in the unlikely event the item(s) are unavailable/out of stock. You will not be charged for out of stock or backordered items).
  • Shipment Confirmation. This e-mail confirms that your order or part of your order has shipped. You may receive multiple e-mails depending on the items you selected, or if you ordered multiple items and they were shipped separately. The arrival time of your order depends on the ship method selected, item(s) selected, and your shipping location.
  • Important notice about your order. There are a few reasons why you would receive this e-mail, including: difficulty in processing your order, inability to ship to the address provided, duplicate order, cancellation of order, etc. Should you receive a notice like this, please call a Sales Representative at (713) 783-2217 immediately so the problem can be addressed.

Delivery of Your Items

Delivery of your items can take anywhere from three to eight full business days, depending on your location and the shipping method you select at Checkout. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.

Cancellations Due to Order Processing Difficulties

Occasionally, orders or parts of an order are cancelled by our system for various reasons. Some reasons are:

  • Item(s) not available.
  • Difficulty in processing your payment information.
  • Cannot ship to address provided.
  • Duplicate order was placed.
  • Invalid shipping method to specified destination.

If your order is cancelled, you will receive an important notice regarding your order via e-mail which will explain the reason for the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items.

Changing or Canceling Your Order

After you have clicked "Check Out", your order begins to process and you cannot cancel or change your order online; however a customer service representative can change, add to or remove items from any order that has not been packaged for shipping. Special Orders can be cancelled no more than 24hrs after the time of ordering.

General Refunds and Exchanges

Made-To-order items, such as glass are non-returnable. All other parts (excluding Odds and Ends items) may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Return parts in original condition received. CODs will not be accepted. Shipping can take up to 14 days. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing on returns. See below on how to process a return. All sales are final except for damaged and defective items. If an item is not used contact a sales representative about a possible exchange for credit. We reserve the right to refuse any item to be returned due to the nature of the items sold and their singular use on this site and for singular occasions. Refund and exchanges are especially stringent after Halloween and known festivals. Exchanges for a similar item is allowed if notified within 7 days of receipt of the item and the package is unopened or in a re-sellable state. The customer is responsible for the cost of all shipping charges. Please see the exceptions for damaged and defective items for more information.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact a Sales Representative within 7 days of delivery at (713) 783-2217. Please supply the Specialist with your order number, item number and tracking number from your original confirmation e-mail. The Specialist will also need your e-mail address and phone number. We will make every reasonable effort to replace the item in a timely manner. We cover shipping charges if there was damage to the item due to shipping.

If there is extensive damage to the packaging, contact a Sales Representative immediately at (713) 783-2217. Please have your order number available when you contact the Sales Representative.

Returning an Item

All returns must first obtain an RA by calling our customer service center. Unused standard stock holiday merchandise may be returned 10 days prior to the holiday it is intended for. Special-Order holiday merchandise is non returnable.
  • Opened or used items cannot be returned.
  • Pack the item securely in the original box, if possible.
  • Place the RA Number on the outside of the box
  • Boxes without a visible and valid RA on the outside of the box will be refused.

Enclose a copy of the packing list with the item. Be sure to keep the original packing list for your records.

  • All return shipping charges must be prepaid.
  • For your protection, we recommend that you use UPS or Insured Parcel Post for your return, ship the return package to:
